Eivissa is much more than marinas, dream coves, thundering nightclubs, hippie heritage and refuge for celebrities and millionaires, but a fertile land capable of developing its own kilometer zero gastronomy of the highest quality. Ibizan herbs and wine and oil, whose production dates back to the Phoenician colonization, boast Protected Geographical Indication and to these are added other directly gourmet products such as saffron, aromatic herbs or sprouts.

Flavors of Ibiza-Eivissa is a project that unites the Island Council with the professional agricultural, fishing and hospitality sector of the island brought together in Pimeef. Its objective is to spread gastronomy as a tourist attraction on the island, to conquer the visitor’s palate by showing them new flavors and products that they will not find anywhere else.

The cooking teacher Marga Orell, a member of Sabors, gave quite an exhibition through several showcookings at the I Ibiza Gourmet Fair, held in tandem with the 16th Edition of the Beer Fair, and which they enjoyed last weekend more than 10,000 people. An expert in island cuisine, she has selected five essential products for us.
