The Provincial Court of Cádiz has confirmed the provisional prison measure for the six men accused of killing two Civil Guard agents whom they attacked on February 9 from the drug boat in which they were in the port of Barbate (Cádiz). .

The Fourth Section of the Criminal Chamber of the Provincial Court of Cádiz has rejected the appeals that those investigated filed against the provisional detention issued by the investigating court number 1 of Barbate, sources of the investigation have indicated.

In the six orders in which it rejects the appeals and confirms the preventive detention of the detainees, the court alleges, among other reasons, the risk of escape of those investigated given the seriousness of the penalties to which they can be sentenced for two crimes of murder, four of attempted murder, six of aggravated attack, one of smuggling and one of serious resistance to a law enforcement agent.
