The Earth Species Project (ESP) organization has unveiled a pioneering project that could change the way we relate to our pets: a translation application for dogs and cats, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

ESP seeks to better understand the languages ??of animals to address their well-being more effectively. In the current testing phase, the project focuses on communication with dolphins and crows, using AI to decode communication patterns and build an extensive database for analysis.

A multidisciplinary team of engineers, technologists and animal behavior experts is hard at work collecting and evaluating data, using advanced algorithms to interpret sound signals, movements and vibrations emitted by various species.

The application, designed to operate in a similar way to a ChatGPT, has the ultimate goal of providing researchers and experts with a tool to understand these signals without needing to completely master the language of each species.

While it is not the first project to pursue inter-species communication through AI, this advance is expected to mark a significant milestone in the understanding and connection between humans and animals. This initiative promises not only deeper communication, but also more effective collaboration in the conservation and well-being of species on our planet.
