An electric scooter caught fire while being charged on the balcony of a seventh floor at number 4 Toni Catany Street in s’Arenal de Llucmajor, in Mallorca. The Local Police were in charge of evacuating the residents of the block in time, so there are no victims to regret.
The explosion, which caused the fire, occurred around one in the morning on Sunday where, thanks to the fact that the scooter was located on the terrace of the home, the residents of the area were able to perceive the flames well in advance, notifying the Mallorca Fire Department. and preventing it from having deadly consequences for the residents of the block.
Luckily, the tenants were not in the home at that time, despite the suspicion that the Local Police had that there may be a person trapped inside the house. Furthermore, since the fire occurred on the seventh and last floor of the block, the fire could not spread to higher floors, thus preventing the misfortune from being much more worrying.
The evicted residents were able to return to their homes hours later and after a study of the gases in the area to check the quality of the air they were breathing. Despite not having to regret human victims, the material damage that the home has received, without yet being assessed, is significant.
