Today I would like to show in The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia some images of the Calanda reservoir, in Teruel, that summarize this climatic year of drought in which we are waiting for two elements: the rain (in case it rains) and the swamps (in case they accumulate or lose water).
Now, the Calanda reservoir still has water reserves, which are at 33% of its capacity. It’s not as bad as in other swamps, but it’s not good either.
This situation causes tourists and people who live in the area to go down with their vehicles until they touch the water to do “drought tourism.”
On the other hand, we see that everything could change if those black clouds seen in the sky had dumped rain on top of this reservoir. But in this case the storms were declared further northwest of Caspe.
But there is still room to be a little positive, because we see this spectacular greenery that the trees that surround this reservoir still maintain and that increases the contrasts of all the colors present in the swamp landscape.
In recent days it has rained in other places on the Iberian Peninsula, not yet in the same way everywhere. And sometimes the rains and storms pass us by, as we already know.
