I share in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia this snapshot that shows the clouds over the Mediterranean Sea that are dangerously close to the coast of the Aigua Xelida cove.

Aigua Xelida is a popular cove on the Costa Brava located north of Tamariu, in the municipality of Palafrugell (Baix Empordà).

It has a length of about 46 meters and a width of about 12 meters. It is made of stones and is surrounded by rocks and pine forests. In the photograph, we see the perspective of the sea from the top of the cliff.

The nearest town is 1 kilometer away and must be accessed on foot, although the surroundings of the cove have been suffering from the advance of urbanization and the felling of trees.

This small beach was the first stop on a frustrated journey by Josep Pla, who narrates his adventures with the fisherman Sebastià Puig Barceló, the Hermós, on board a small boat, along the Empordà coast.
