The Mossos d’Esquadra found the mummified corpses of a man and his mother since 2018 last Wednesday in a home in Roses (Girona), according to investigation sources.
The bodies were located after a neighbor “warned that he had not seen them for a long time,” and the bodies do not show signs of criminality, according to Cadena SER.
Forensic experts are carrying out an exhaustive study of the bodies to try to clarify the causes of death and determine the date of death, while the Catalan police have opened an investigation.
