We steal the title from a 1924 film, directed by Victor Sjostrom and starring Lon Chaney, Norma Shearer and John Gilbert, to welcome today’s guest, Santi Vila, the man who jumped off the independence train two minutes before derailed resoundingly. Considered a traitor in Barcelona and a separatist in Madrid, he was attacked from all sides, which he tells us with unusual good humor. It is worth highlighting how Quim Torra, former president of the Generalitat and champion of the ratafia, made his life impossible.
