Many off-road car fans, like most drivers, look for vehicles that differ from the rest of the models on the market, either for their performance or for their original and ground-breaking design.
This sector is also undergoing full electrification, which is quite a challenge. The brands specialized in this type of zero-emission cars know this well, such as the American Alpha Motor Corporation, which has just presented a new limited edition based on its long-awaited Wolf pick-up.
It is a robust, high-performance battery-powered off-road pick-up called Nightwolf, which attracts attention for its retro-style design and its huge solar panels mounted on the roof, which give it an extra dose of autonomy. With a more compact size than many of the electric giants on the market (4.82 m long, 1.90 m wide and 1.77 m high), it has everything to guarantee fun getaways into nature.
It has a robust and sophisticated aesthetic with a matte body with hardly any angular surfaces. This electric pick-up is available with one motor and rear-wheel drive or with a dual motor and all-wheel drive with 285 HP. It offers acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and a range of up to 440 kilometers.
If something characterizes the Nightwolf, it is its peculiar solar roof, which allows the vehicle to also be powered by energy from the sky. The photovoltaic cell panels are connected directly to the vehicle’s battery and provide about 30 kilometers of additional range per day. It doesn’t seem like a significant amount, but it can provide the extra range needed to find a nearby charging point after a day of adventures in the sun.
Alpha has equipped the Nightwolf with high-performance off-road accessories to make it capable of riding on demanding surfaces. It includes a new KC lighting pack with seven-inch LED Gravity headlights and auxiliary lights, as well as a roof rack with two sturdy 83-liter Roam Adventure Co. boxes with an anti-theft system to store all your adventure gear.
It also has a tent-type structure in case it is necessary to spend the night in the back of the car. Its powerful BFGoodrich all-terrain tires and four 17-inch Black Rhino Atlas wheels optimize its performance on rugged terrain.
The interior is elegant and sober, with two-passenger seats finished in high-quality leather, a digital center console, premium sound system and Bluetooth connection. There are already dozens of pre-reservations made for the limited edition of the Nightwolf, at an estimated price that starts at around 60,000 euros.
Alpha will showcase the Wolf, the pickup truck on which the Nightwolf edition is based, from October 31 to November 3 at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. You can learn more about the vehicle in the video that accompanies this article.
