Local artist Ángel Coronado has been in charge of creating the poster for the fiftieth edition of the El Prat de Llobregat poultry fair, one of the most significant events in the city.

To celebrate the anniversary, Coronado has chosen to illustrate the poster with a blue-legged chicken, a genuine animal from El Prat and a major protagonist of the fiesta. Inside, some of the most representative elements of the city of Baix Llobregat.

As explained by the El Prat City Council this Tuesday in a statement, the fair will be held on December 1 and 2 at the Ricarda farm. During the poster presentation event, Coronado explained that he began working with sketches without the pota blava chicken, but in the end the figure of the rooster emerged.

“It cannot be avoided, it is something that surrounds everything that is El Prat,” said the multidisciplinary artist, with experience in film, television and the publishing world, with works published internationally through the Wuji House studio.

“What the fair was and what it is today is a reflection of the evolution of El Prat,” said the mayor, Lluís Mijoler, during the presentation event, held at the Torre Muntadas art center. During this time, the exhibition has gone from being solely related to the poultry world to being a citizen festival.
