Great night for the Hispanic music industry. Yesterday, November 16, the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards was held in Seville. This gala had a very special meaning, since it is the first time that this event was held outside the United States.

Hundreds of famous singers, elite athletes, influencers, content creators, actors and actresses… put on their best outfits and traveled to the Seville Conference and Exhibition Palace, better known as FIBES.

Natalia Lafourcade, Shakira and Karol G became the winners of the night with three awards each, but the spotlight fell, above all, on the former couple formed by the Puerto Rican Rauw Alejandro and the Catalan singer Rosalía.

The first surprised the audience by performing the song Se Fue in a heartfelt way in tribute to Laura Pausini. For her part, the artist from San Cugat del Vallés left viewers speechless with a version of one of the most sensitive and harsh heartbreak songs ever written in Spanish: Se nos roto el amor, by Rocío Jurado.

During her performance, the author of Motomami, Malamente, Con Altura, Juro Que, La combi Versace or Como un G had the support on stage of a group of flamenco guitarists who created a very special atmosphere with their hands.

Once it finished, social networks exploded with comments of support, affection and admiration for the Catalan artist. ”This lady is amazing”, ”What a way to convey”, ”Rosalía is THE Spanish artist”, ”What a great talent”, ”Rosalía singing to the Jury. “My mother of my life and my heart” or “The hair on end, brutal” are some of the comments that can be read on social networks and microblogging platforms.

In addition to thousands of anonymous fans and followers, there are also well-known people who wanted to dedicate a few public words to the musical creator and congratulate her for her great work, dedication and talent.

Yolanda Díaz, founder of the Sumar political party, yesterday dedicated a brief message to the artist on the social network ”Listening to Rosalía singing by Rocío Jurado at the Latin Grammys is the best representation of the empowered and talented women that our culture has. Beautiful, ” the leftist leader wrote to make clear her support for Rauw Alejandro’s ex-girlfriend.
