This Friday, Seville hosted the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards. There were many national and international artists who traveled to the Andalusian capital to attend the great event, among them, Rosalía. The Catalan was in charge of opening the gala, performing the iconic song Se nos roto el amor by the great Rocío Jurado. ‘Rosi’ showcased her great voice and managed to thrill the audience… but her performance was inevitably linked to her ex-partner, Rauw Alejandro, who was in the audience. Tiktoker @alvarosoyyo has explained what meaning plastic could have on stage during the performance.

It was at the end of last July when People magazine uncovered the breakup between Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro, who announced their engagement last March. Then, both artists made several statements confirming that the relationship between them was broken and, although without giving specific reasons, they also tried to explain that their breakup had nothing to do with third parties. The news took fans by surprise, who did not expect this outcome of one of the most established couples in the music industry.

Almost four months after this announcement, the relationship between both protagonists is a mystery and their love life continues to make headlines. The expectation was maximum this Thursday, since the ex-couple was going to meet for the first time in a public event since the end of their relationship. Rauw arrived at the photocall of the event accompanied by her mother, while Rosalía posed in front of the cameras very sure of herself. However, although images of both of them together could not be captured, the former couple went on stage to perform separately… and their performances did not go unnoticed.

Rauw Alejandro took the stage to perform three songs, the first of which was the legendary song Se fue by Laura Pausini. Just a few minutes before, Rosalía was impeccable on stage with Se nos roto el amor by the great Rocío Jurado. Both performances were strictly related by fans of the ex-couple, and there are even those who dare to come up with their own theories about the performances.

The tiktoker @alvarosoyyo assures that several references are hidden behind the performance of the Saoko interpreter, such as, for example, the plastic that covered the stage. The song talks about the farewell between two lovers because their relationship has not worked out. Álvaro remembers when in 1989 Rocío Carrasco announced the end of her relationship with Pedro Carrasco in Interviú magazine. The artist was highly criticized for announcing it in this way, so she decided to be on the cover again in the publication. Her styling surprised, since she appeared dressed in completely transparent plastic.

As we said, the tiktoker has related this episode in Jurado’s life with the performance of the Catalan artist, who displayed a large amount of plastic on the stage while performing the Chipiona artist’s song. Many interpret it as a clear dig at Rauw Alejandro, since both have been involved in one of the most controversial breakups. Be that as it may, the Catalan shined on stage and demonstrated, once again, why she is one of the most successful artists worldwide.
