This Monday, the Red Cross of Alicante activated its Immediate Emergency Response Teams for Humanitarian Aid to Immigrants arriving along the Coast to assist about 40 people aboard boats who have been rescued by Maritime Rescue in the last few hours.

The people rescued by Salvamar Leo arrived at the port of Alicante shortly before 8 a.m. this Monday, where they received humanitarian care from the Red Cross services.

During the last few hours, several boats have arrived on the Alicante coast. Early Saturday morning, one was located in Moraira, with 16 men on board, and hours later another arrived in Calpe, with 14 men, one of them a minor.

Likewise, on Friday the Civil Guard located another boat with four men in good condition in the Piteres cove in El Campello (Alicante).
