A breakdown in the national Telefónica network has affected citizen service communications in several autonomous communities. The emergency telephone numbers 112, 061 and the citizen service telephone number 012 in Catalonia stopped working for more than an hour on Tuesday morning.
Sources from telephone 112 have detailed “connection problems with telephone 112 in one of the two centers.” The Generalitat has announced that the service has been restored “normally”. During the incident, the 112 emergency telephone number has asked citizens to use 112 and 061 only in “emergency cases.”
