This is a current photograph of the Salgueda bridge. The Ges River passes below and just after its waters fall through the Salt del Molí, which these days of drought is almost non-existent.

Now the Ges river is a pile of water, what a pity, we need it to rain, it is clear, as can be seen in this snapshot in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos.

The name of this bridge comes from the Salgueda farmhouse, from the 18th century, located in the solana of the Sierra de Curull, under Mount Collsaplana (1235 meters).

Although the bridge, located in Vidrà, in the Osona region, is of Romanesque origin, the stone railing is much later, from the year 1846.

The Ges river is the protagonist of this landscape. It crosses Vidrà from north to south, collecting water from the Toll and Ciuret streams and some streams before entering the Plana de Vic through the Forat Micó, a gorge that separates the Bellmunt and Curull mountain ranges.

Vidrà is located north of Osona, on the border with the counties of Garrotxa and Ripollès. Includes the core of Ciuret. Located at the foot of the Pre-Pyrenees, it stands out for its natural heritage.

The landscape is impressive, from some peaks of Vidrà you can see the Bay of Roses, the Plana de Vic, Montseny, Pedraforca and the Cadí and Canigó mountain ranges.
