Every year a group of young socialites from around the world participate in Le Bal des Débutantes (The Debutantes’ Ball), a money-raising event organized by Ophélie Renouard. This November the profits will go to two different organizations: on the one hand, the ARCFA cardiology research unit at the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital, which focuses on infants with heart defects, and, on the other, the World Central Kitchen , which offers food to people in vulnerable situations.

The 21 debutantes who attended the gala yesterday are between 17 and 21 years old and are part of well-known and wealthy families. Among the young women there were models, athletes, business women or artists. All of them attended the glamorous Shangri-La Paris hotel accompanied by different men, that is, their cavaliers. Some chose to bring their partners, while others brought their siblings or friends.

Among the aristocrats were Leah Behn, middle daughter of Princess Martha Louise of Norway; Princess Hélène d’Orléans, Archduchess Sophia von Habsbourg Lorraine, Archduchess of Austria and Princess of Hungary, Ildiko Habsburg-Lothringen, Countess Lara-Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck or Ethiopian Princess Lissie Selassie.

As for famous personalities, to give a few examples, Angelina Jordan rose to fame at the age of seven for her audition on Norway’s Got Talent, while Roxie Zhao started her own company at the age of 16. The Chinese Jasmine Yen is also a singer and Victoria Mestre-Cisneros is a socialite and great-granddaughter of the founder of Pepsi Cola in Venezuela.

The resume of each of the young women is spectacular, whether due to their own achievements or because they are relatives of very important personalities. The Debutante Ball was a very special event and everyone attended with their best clothes from various luxury designers.
