Authorities in Mount Olivet, Kentucky, arrested a woman after a dismembered body was discovered in her mother’s backyard. The police found human remains in a pot inside the home’s oven, which was still warm at the time.

The incident was reported when a man hired to work on the property found the body in the backyard and immediately contacted the Kentucky State Police. Upon arrival, officers observed the dismembered corpse in the grass, a bloody mattress nearby, and blood stains on the back porch and door threshold.

A search warrant was obtained for the home, and a special response team was called in. The woman inside the house, identified as 32-year-old Torilena May Fields, initially refused to come out. After deploying gas and engaging with Fields using a robot, she eventually exited the house without further incident later that night. She was found with blood on her face, hands, and clothing.

Fields has been charged with abusing a corpse, evidence tampering, and obstructing government operations. Additional charges may be filed against her as the investigation progresses. It is unclear if she has legal representation at this time, and her arraignment is scheduled for the following week.

During the search of the home, officers discovered human remains in a steel pot inside the oven, which was still warm to the touch. The man who reported the incident mentioned seeing Fields and her mother, Trudy Fields, at the residence the evening before. He stated that Torilena Fields was exhibiting erratic behavior, possibly due to drug use, and was casting spells on them.

The man believed the body to be that of Trudy Fields, as he found a pile of her hair at the scene. The police confirmed that the victim was indeed Torilena Fields’ mother. The investigation into this gruesome discovery is ongoing, and more details may emerge as the case progresses.
