Thieves Steal $5K Worth of Tools from Landscaping Business Owner’s Trailer in NE Miami-Dade
A South Florida man is in distress after thieves made off with thousands of dollars worth of landscaping tools from his trailer in Northeast Miami-Dade. Jorge Fernandez, the owner of the business, is seeking assistance in tracking down the culprits and recovering his stolen property.
Fernandez recounted how the incident unfolded on a typical Thursday morning while he and his family were busy at work. The thieves, who had been observing them from a distance, took advantage of a moment when Fernandez was not looking and swiftly accessed the trailer, snatching various tools.
Among the items stolen were chainsaws, grass blowers, weed whackers, and other essential tools used by Fernandez and his family for their landscaping work. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be around $5,000, leaving Fernandez with a significant loss.
Surveillance footage captured the two individuals as they scoped out the scene before breaking into the trailer and absconding with the tools. Fernandez expressed his frustration at the brazen act, emphasizing the impact it has had on his ability to continue working efficiently.
