The young girl, Kymorah Reid, was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her ankle and tried to pull her to the ground. In an interview with 7News, Reid described the terrifying moment when she felt someone grab her foot and try to drag her away. She screamed for help as the man attempted to snatch her from the sidewalk.

Surveillance footage captured the chilling scene as Reid got off a school bus and started walking home. As she crossed a parking lot, a man wearing a yellow shirt and red shorts ran up to her and made a grab for her. A quick-thinking neighbor witnessed the incident and shouted at the man, causing him to release Reid and flee to a waiting car.

Reid quickly ran home, where she was met by her shocked mother. The mother, who couldn’t believe what had happened, obtained the surveillance video from a neighbor and was horrified by what she saw. The footage made it clear how close her daughter came to being abducted.
