Support Grows for Injured CBC Student as Police Investigate: Community Comes Together
In St. Louis, the search for the gunman who critically injured 16-year-old high school hockey player Colin Brown over the weekend is ongoing. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is urging witnesses to come forward to help piece together what happened. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Sunday along southbound Interstate 55 near Loughborough Avenue while Colin was riding home with his father from his CBC High School hockey game.
Colin’s father drove to S. Fourth and Walnut Streets where they were met by police and EMS. Colin was rushed to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. The police department is determined to find the perpetrator behind this senseless act of violence and bring them to justice.

Calls for tighter gun laws and policing have also emerged in the wake of this tragic incident, with many expressing concern over the safety of attending sporting events.
