The latest installment in the Mario Party series, Super Mario Party Jamboree, was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation. Set to debut on the Nintendo Switch on October 17, the game promises to bring a fresh and exciting experience to fans of the franchise.

With a total of 110 minigames and five new game boards set on a colorful island resort, Super Mario Party Jamboree offers a variety of gameplay options for players to enjoy. From the Rainbow Galleria to King Bowser’s Keep, each board comes with its own set of unique mechanics and challenges. For instance, in Roll ‘Em Raceway, players can use the Turbo Dice to zoom ahead 40 spaces, while Goomba Lagoon features changing tides that can alter your path.

In addition to the new content, fans will also have the chance to revisit classic maps such as Mario’s Rainbow Castle and Western Land. These familiar locations, along with the introduction of a new online competitive mode called the Koopathlon that supports up to 20 players, are sure to add to the excitement and nostalgia of the game.

Super Mario Party Jamboree marks the first main entry in the series in over six years, following the release of Super Mario Party. It also comes three years after the launch of Mario Party Superstars, which brought back classic boards from the Nintendo 64 era. The popularity of these classic boards even inspired the creation of the Superstar Sprinkle Blast ice cream flavor at Cold Stone Creamery in 2022.

Overall, with its new features, gameplay mechanics, and online multiplayer options, Super Mario Party Jamboree is shaping up to be a must-have title for Nintendo Switch owners and Mario Party fans alike. Get ready to roll the dice and join in on the fun when the game hits store shelves this October.
