South Florida is currently experiencing the arrival of the first of two cold fronts, bringing below average temperatures as December approaches. This change in weather comes as the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season officially comes to an end today. Despite this, the region can expect great conditions for the weekend and beyond.

Saturday will see a mix of sunshine and clouds with temperatures in the upper 70s, with the possibility of a brief shower. Most of the shower activity is expected to stay offshore. Sunday will be similar with more sunshine before the second cold front moves in on Sunday night into Monday.

This second front will bring even cooler temperatures, with lows dropping into the 50s across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties by Tuesday morning. Highs next week will be in the mid to upper 70s, with lows in the 50s on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (and Thursday for inland areas).

There is little to no rainfall expected in the next 7 days, continuing the dry spell that has been ongoing since March 2018 in Miami. So, while South Florida may be facing cooler temperatures, at least the weather will be dry and pleasant for the upcoming week.
