The main supplier of mobile camera sensors, Sony, has a firm commitment to distinguish its Xperia terminals for the photographic experience. In addition to being the necessary collaborator for the success of the competition’s mobiles, it has the need to offer differential characteristics in its own. The new Xperia 1V, the new emblem of the Japanese company, debuts a newly developed sensor, called the 2-layer Pixel Transistor, which offers great performance in low light conditions, double that of the previous model, and a dynamic range close to of full frame cameras.

The Xperia 1 are a sample of what happens when you don’t save on components and features. Bringing the technology of the renowned Alpha cameras to mobile phones, means in the new Sony terminal an Exmor T sensor, especially for telephones, with a tight reproduction of colors and textures, and which is approximately 1.7 times larger than the former. The new Xperia 1V has an 85-125mm optical zoom that lets you capture bright portraits with little distortion.

Among the many creative features of the Xperia 1V are various color presets, such as Creative Look, a feature also available on Alpha cameras, and high-performance, real-time autofocus focused on people’s eyes. It also features high-speed continuous shooting at up to 30 frames per second while maintaining autofocus. One of the color profiles that Sony’s film cameras inaugurated, the well-known S-Cinetone, is also available and adjusted for the new mobile terminal.

Sony has also adapted another function of its cameras, those dedicated to the creation of vlogs, which during recording shifts the focus towards the product, instead of towards the face of the person presenting it. A new voice-priority microphone near the rear camera allows the protagonist’s voice to be clearly recorded in places with ambient noise.

Beyond the camera, the Xperia 1V packs top-class arguments at the high end, such as a 6.5-inch OLED display with 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, and a powerful, low-noise speaker amplifier for improve propagation and depth of sound. It also has a special game mode, Game Enhancer, with visual and auditory support for players and the ability to broadcast a game live on YouTube. It can be combined with an Xperia Stream gaming rig, enabling higher performance and high-quality streaming.

The heart and brain of the Sony Xperia 1V is Qualcomm’s high-performance chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, with a CPU that improves its efficiency over the previous generation by 40%. The 5,000 mAh battery has fast wireless charging (up to 50% in 30 minutes). The Xperia 1 V will be available at the end of June in black, platinum silver and khaki green for a price commensurate with the quality of its components: 1,399 euros.

Along with the new star of its catalogue, Sony has also presented a mid-range terminal, the Xperia 10V, with a 6.1-inch OLED screen, a main camera sensor 1.6 times larger than the previous one, which allows it to capture more light and capture sharper images in low light conditions and with little noise. It has optical stabilization and a 5,000 mAh battery. It is available from mid-June in lavender, sage green, white and black colors for 449 euros.
