'Silent Hill' will have its own interactive series and this is its first trailer

The decisions of millions of viewers will determine the course of events in Silent Hill: Ascension, the interactive series based on Konami’s iconic horror game. This original proposal is one of the projects that the Japanese company is currently developing with the aim of rekindling interest in this veteran franchise: It will be released throughout 2023 and as of today it has its first trailer.

The first images of Silent Hill: Ascension reveal a production that is largely reminiscent of other recent horror games, such as Until Dawn or The Quarry. It is unknown if the series will be released on any specific platform, only that it can be seen on PC, mobile and other devices.

As if it were the classic Choose Your Own Adventure books, “in Silent Hill: Ascension, the actions of millions will determine the outcome,” says the project’s official website. “Even the creators of the project do not know how it will end, since the fate of the characters will be in the hands of the audience,” they add.

The series is a collaboration between various companies, although Genvid Entertainment, specializing in interactive content, will play a central role. It will also feature the participation of production companies Bad Robot Games, Behavior Interactive and dj2 Entertainment.

As those responsible have explained, the series will have “various protagonists tormented by new and terrifying monsters from Silent Hill.” It is unknown if the characters from the video games themselves will also appear.

Last October, Konami announced the return of Silent Hill in style. The Japanese publisher announced three new games based on this franchise with more than twenty years of history, the production of a new movie and this series of which we now know the first details.
