A semi-truck driver from Orlando, Florida, is facing serious charges after being involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Interstate 44 in Sullivan, Missouri. Etem Missark, 60, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death by the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The tragic incident took place on Monday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-44 near the 225-mile marker. It was revealed through court documents that Missark allegedly struck a pedestrian who was trying to fix a tire on the side of the highway, along with the pedestrian’s vehicle. The documents also state that Missark failed to stay in his lane and drifted off the road.
