Last night in Miami, a tragic incident occurred when a gunman opened fire in a neighborhood, resulting in the death of one man and leaving another critically injured. The victim, 35-year-old Robin Fernandez, was fatally shot, while 32-year-old David Pichinte was gravely wounded and is currently fighting for his life in the hospital.
According to witnesses, the shooting took place in a driveway on Northeast 77th Court near First Court. Marlon Castro Martinez, Fernandez’s cousin and a relative of Pichinte, was present during the altercation and described how the gunman approached them. The shooter allegedly asked for a beer, and when denied, he became agitated and pulled out a gun.
In a terrifying turn of events, the gunman started chasing the group of friends around the apartment building, eventually firing multiple shots. Fernandez was tragically struck in the head and died at the scene, while Pichinte was shot twice in the side and is now in critical condition at Jackson Medical Center’s Ryder Trauma Center.
Authorities are actively searching for the suspect, described as a young male between 17 and 18 years old. They have been going door to door in the neighborhood seeking any information that could lead to the apprehension of the gunman. This incident has understandably shaken the community, with residents expressing fear of the suspect still being at large.
