Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new legal troubles as two anonymous male accusers have filed civil lawsuits against him, claiming they were sexually assaulted by the music mogul when they were minors during auditions. One of the accusers, referred to as John Doe, was just 10 years old at the time of the alleged assault. Combs has denied these latest claims, adding to the 27 civil cases he is currently facing.
In one lawsuit, John Doe states that he auditioned for Combs in 2005 at a New York hotel when he was 10 years old. He alleges that Combs gave him a soda laced with drugs and then forced him to perform oral sex. The other accuser, also referred to as John Doe, claims he was 17 years old in 2008 when he attended auditions for the MTV series “Making the Band.” During the audition, Combs allegedly sexually assaulted him and emphasized his power to control the accuser’s future in the music industry.
Combs’ attorneys have denied the specific allegations in the new lawsuits, stating that Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone. They have expressed confidence in the legal process, emphasizing that the truth will prevail in court. The two new lawsuits were filed in New York state court and both accusers are represented by attorneys who are also representing over 120 alleged victims planning to go public with their claims against Combs.
Since November 2023, Combs has faced multiple civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault or misconduct, with the initial lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura being settled the next day. Federal prosecutors have accused Combs of running a criminal enterprise involving sex trafficking, forced labor, and other serious allegations. He has pleaded not guilty to federal charges and his criminal trial is tentatively set to begin in May 2025.
The criminal investigation against Combs is ongoing, with prosecutors indicating that additional charges or defendants could be added in the future. Despite the legal challenges he is facing, Combs remains confident in his innocence and is prepared to defend himself in court.
