A baby goat in Hawaii found himself stuck on the side of a cliff for four days, with no one able to rescue him. The fire department, Humane Society, and Department of Land and Resources all said they couldn’t help. But thanks to the power of social media, the situation changed.

Govinda Hansen and Caleb Morrison, avid hikers, saw the plea for help online and decided to rescue the goat named Bala. With climbing gear in hand, they carefully made their way up the steep terrain to reach the stranded animal.

Using an apple and a drone to distract Bala, Morrison was able to grab the goat and bring him down to safety. The rescue mission took 45 minutes, but the team was successful in bringing the baby goat to safety.

Once at Aloha Sanctuary, Bala drank a whole bottle of milk and happily pranced around in the grass. Hansen was relieved and happy that they were able to save the goat, and they named him Bala, which means ‘white in complexion’.

The heartwarming story of Bala’s rescue spread quickly on social media, showing the power of community coming together to help an animal in need. It’s a reminder of the kindness and compassion that exists in the world, even in the face of challenges. The happy ending for Bala is a testament to the dedication and perseverance of those who worked to save him.
