Rainy Weekend Forecast in Miami and Fort Lauderdale – WSVN 7News

news-12102024-134003

This weekend in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the forecast is looking rainy with clouds lingering around. A front is hanging out nearby in the Florida Straits, causing moisture to get stuck in South Florida. While it won’t be a complete washout, there will be passing showers and isolated thunderstorms on both days. The high temperatures will struggle to reach the mid 80s, and the skies will mostly be cloudy.

As we head into Monday, the clouds will stick around with a chance of more showers. But don’t worry, conditions are expected to improve by the middle of next week. A fall front is on its way for Wednesday, which should help clear out the moisture and bring in some brighter weather. This front will also bring in cooler temperatures, knocking highs back down to the low to mid 80s.

By Tuesday, temperatures are forecasted to rise gradually into the mid to upper 80s before the front moves in. Later in the week, an onshore wind will pick up, leading to the possibility of more showers coming in from the coast at times.

In terms of the tropics, there is only Tropical Storm Leslie to keep an eye on. Leslie is predicted to lose its tropical characteristics over the weekend as it moves near the Azores. There is also an area near the Cape Verde Islands that has a medium risk of formation.
