'Marvel's Spider-Man 2' already has a release date

After becoming the most applauded game at the PlayStation Showcase, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has done a double job by appearing at the Summer Game Fest to announce its release date. The new adventure of the arachnid superhero will hit stores on October 20 for PlayStation 5.

It was the last detail that remained to be known about the game developed by Insomniac Games. In fact, the game’s own director, Bryan Intihar, has taken the stage of the event to announce the date and show the cover of the game.

In this sequel to the adventure published in 2018, Peter Parker will be accompanied by Miles Morales and must face Kraven the Hunter and Venom, among other villains. In fact, Intihar has placed special emphasis on the fact that the game will have more villains, such as Lagarto, which could already be seen at the PlayStation digital event held two weeks ago.

The director of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has also detailed that the story will once again be completely new and different from that of the comics. In fact, Intihar has detailed that Eddie Brock will not be the identity behind the Venom symbiote.

The Summer Game Fest event was held tonight at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The presentation organized by Canadian journalist and producer Geoff Keighley featured news such as the announcement of the release date for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the announcement of a new Prince of Persia or the first Alan Wake 2 gameplay video.
