Police in West Miami-Dade are currently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred at a Cuban cafeteria, resulting in one man being in critical condition. The incident took place at 12848 SW 8th St on Tuesday night.

According to reports, an adult male customer at the cafeteria was causing a disturbance and threatening an employee. Another customer, also an adult male, stepped in to try and calm the situation down and escort the aggressor out of the cafeteria. Unfortunately, this intervention led to a physical altercation between the two men outside of the establishment.

During the fight, the aggressor pulled out a knife and stabbed the other customer, causing critical injuries. The victim was rushed to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene after the stabbing and is currently at large. Police have described him as having distinctive royal blue hair.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
