A company in Arizona is recalling cucumbers in 26 states, including Missouri, and Canada due to concerns about Salmonella. SunFed Produce, LLC is behind the recall, which affects all sizes of their whole, fresh cucumbers sold between October 12 and November 26. The cucumbers were distributed in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Additionally, the recall applies to Canadian provinces including Alberta, British Columbia, Calgary, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) noted that the cucumbers could have been sold in retail outlets and food services not listed in the affected states. SunFed President Craig Slate assured consumers that they are working with authorities to investigate the cause of the issue and are committed to protecting consumers. If you have purchased any of the recalled cucumbers, it is advised to discard them immediately.
