The NBA day this Thursday only had two games on its agenda. After Draymond Green’s incident with Rudy Gobert against the Timberwolves, the Warriors faced the Brooklyn Nets this morning. A duel that ended in defeat for Steve Kerr’s team, which conceded its fifth consecutive KO in the league (109-128). Those from the Bay are eighth in the Western Conference with six wins to their name.

The Warriors continue to search for their direction in the NBA without still having Stephen Curry, who injured his right knee last week against the Timberwolves, and with Green suspended. Klay Thompson came up dry at the Barclays Center with only 5 points, while Jonathan Kuminga was the most productive for San Francisco (21 points and 6 rebounds).

The Thunder dominated the first quarter (24-39) and continued to impose their rhythm with an exceptional Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Canadian point guard scored a total of 24 points and 7 assists, being his team’s top scorer. Steve Kerr’s team remained without reaction until the last period in which he showed a partial score of 24-34.

Shooting guard Isaiah Joe was also an important pillar for the Thunder from the three-point line. The American scored seven of seven on three-pointers and was a versatile resource for Mark Daigneault. Josh Giddey (19 points) and young Chet Holmgren (3 points and 10 rebounds with a double-double included) led the Oklahoma City Thunder to their fifth consecutive victory: something they had not done since the 2020-21 season.

The Miami Heat added their seventh consecutive win in the NBA, after beating the Brooklyn Nets tonight (122-115). Jimmy Butler left a stellar performance, reaching his highest scoring record this season with 36 points, in addition to giving three assists and five rebounds in 35 minutes.

Duncan Robinson with 26 points and Bam Adebayo with 20 buried the performance of the former Toronto Raptors. Also the Mexican-American Jaime Jáquez Jr. who contributed 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists for the locals.

Miami had not beaten Brooklyn since March 2022 and this victory places them third in the standings with a streak of seven consecutive victories. They only have the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers ahead of them: the Boston team defeated the Angelenos yesterday at the Wells Fargo Center (107-117).
