It has taken time but the only time trial of the Tour is already here. Gone are the days when there were two time trials, or even three, on the course. They are only 22.4 kilometers. And it is by no means an ideal track for specialists or riders. It will be a day for the riders who are playing the general.

Because in addition to being short, scarce for the canons of the Tour, the time trial, which starts from Passy, ??is a disguised time trial. The last six kilometers are uphill towards the finish in Combloux. What will make cyclists doubt a lot about the material they will use.

In this final part, you have to face the mythical Domancy level, famous for its inclusion in the 1980 World Cup, which was organized in Sallanches. Won by Hinault, it is considered the toughest in history.

Domancy is 2.5km at 9.4% but the ramps go up to 16%. The climb was already included in another time trial in 2016, up to Megève, which was won by Chris Froome. It will not be the only one, because at the start you will also face the Côte de la Cascada de Coeur, shorter but just as intense (1.5 to 8.5%). So there are barely ten kilometers for aerodynamics.

The 2023 Giro was decided in the time trial climb of Monte Lussari in favor of Roglic. The Tour, which already experienced the defeat of Pogacar to Roglic in 2020, can follow the same steps.
