The “Legends of Sports” exhibition, inaugurated this Thursday, brings to Badalona objects from famous athletes such as Rafa Nadal, Jon Rahm, Andrés Iniesta, Valentino Rossi, Miguel Indurain or Mireia Belmonte, or Sebastian Vettel’s Ferrari.

The exhibition, with pieces from the Sports Museum, can be seen for free at the El Carme Cultural Center until December 30

Among the pieces exhibited in the Josep Uclés room of the El Carme Cultural Center in Badalona is the Ferrari of Formula 1 driver Sebatian Vettel from 2017, t-shirts from Ricky Rubio, Pau Gasol, Rafa Nadal or Andrés Iniesta, the Aprillia motorcycle 125 cc with which Aspar won the 1988 World Championship, or a bicycle by Miguel Indurain.

The opening ceremony of this exhibition focused on the great achievements in the world of sports was attended by the mayor of Badalona, ​​Xavier Garcia Albiol; the director of the Sports Museum, Alfonso Noáin; the president of the Joventut Badalona Club, Juanan Morales, and the Paralympic medalist swimmer from Badalona Sílvia Vives, among others.

The mayor, Xavier Garcia Albiol, highlighted that “there is no better city than Badalona to enjoy an exhibition like this.”

“Badalona deserves it, because we are a reference in sport and we want it to be that way, for the values ​​that its practice entails, such as effort, sacrifice or teamwork,” he explained.
