Shubhankar Sharma had a tough time at the Scandinavian Mixed Open, ending up in a disappointing Tied 59th place. His final round saw him struggle with a 5-over 77, which included a mix of bogeys, double bogeys, birdies, and even a triple bogey in the last four holes. Despite a decent performance in the first 14 holes with two birdies and bogeys each, Sharma finished with a total score of 2-under 286 from four rounds.

Unfortunately, Diksha Dagar did not make the cut in this unique event that brought together 78 women from the Ladies European Tour and 78 men from the DP World Tour. However, she is set to return to action at the Italian Ladies Open next week. As for the DP World Tour, there is no event scheduled due to the US Open taking place in the United States.

Local Swedish golfer Linn Grant emerged victorious with a one-shot lead on the final day, making a remarkable comeback from being 11 shots behind fellow Swede Sebastian Soderberg, who had led the tournament from the beginning. Grant, 24, made history in 2022 by becoming the first woman to win on the DP World Tour, and she has now achieved this feat for the second time.

Grant’s impressive bogey-free 65 (-7) on the final day secured her a clubhouse lead of 17-under-par at Vasatorps Golfklubb. Soderberg, who had a one-shot advantage going into the final round, faltered with a double bogey, ultimately handing the title to Grant. Her remarkable 11-shot comeback is the biggest in the history of the DP World Tour, which co-sanctioned the event with LET.

Scotland’s Calum Hill finished tied for second place with Sweden’s Soderberg, both at 16-under-par, after a final round of 69 (-3). LET winner Johanna Gustavsson, along with English players Alex Fitzpatrick and Andy Sullivan, finished tied for fourth place at 13-under-par.

Overall, the Scandinavian Mixed Open provided an exciting and unexpected turn of events, showcasing the talent and resilience of the players on the course. It was a memorable tournament with standout performances and a well-deserved victory for Linn Grant.
