Despite the interruption, Tom Kim managed to force a playoff against Scheffler by securing a birdie on the final hole. However, Scheffler ultimately emerged victorious, clinching his sixth win of the season and his second playoff triumph.
Protests disrupting sporting events are not uncommon, with activists making appearances at NFL games and NBA contests in the past. While the tournament continued after the protesters were removed, the incident undoubtedly added drama to the already tense final moments of the Travelers Championship.
