The winter transfer market enters its final stretch and does so with surprise. LaLiga has extended the deadline to register new players. Initially the winter market extended from January 2 to January 31, but today, the official LaLiga website has modified the date by establishing one more market day, until February 1 at 11:59 p.m. .
This change will allow the Spanish league to compete on an equal basis with the rest of the European leagues. The five major competitions, the Premier, the Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and LaLiga, will therefore close their markets on the same day and at the same time.
Although there are still the most decisive days for this market, a week in which the most unexpected transfers take place, there are many clubs that have already been announcing news throughout this month of January.
Barça was able to register the Brazilian Vitor Roque on January 3. Another ex-Azulgrana, Ilaix Moriba, headed to Getafe in this winter market, from Leipzig. Last Friday, Atlético announced the signing of Belgian midfielder Arthur Vermeeren, 18, from Antwerp. In total, there have already been almost thirty transfers to teams in the Spanish league.
