LeBron James signed the 111th triple double of his career in the NBA regular season this Wednesday and led, together with the Japanese Rui Hachimura, the 136-124 victory of the Los Angeles Lakers in the field of the Memphis Grizzlies, the fifth in a row for the Angelenos.
James returned after missing the spectacular victory at the Milwaukee Bucks’ field after two overtimes and finished the Memphis game with 23 points, fourteen rebounds and twelve assists, with eight of fourteen shooting from the field.
The four-time NBA champion, 39, has three triple doubles this season.
Hachimura contributed to the victory with 32 points and 7 of 8 from 3-point range, while D’Angelo Russell contributed 23 points and five 3-pointers.
The Lakers connected on 18 of their 33 three-pointers (54.5%). They occupy ninth place in the West (41-32), behind the Sacramento Kings (42-30), eighth.
In the Grizzlies, second to last in the West, the Spanish Santi Aldama did not exceed six points, three rebounds and one assist. Desmond Bane had a double double of 26 points and 16 assists, without a reward.
