Sergio Rico, PSG player, wanted to publicly thank the encouragement he has received in recent days via Instagram. Only four days after leaving the ICU of the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville, where he has been admitted since May 28 after suffering a serious accident with a horse in the pilgrimage of El Rocío (Huelva), the Andalusian has expressed his gratitude for messages of encouragement.

“I wanted to thank each and every one of the people who have shown me and sent their love in these difficult days. I continue working on my recovery that is getting better every day,” wrote the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, who will continue his recovery in plant with no planned discharge and adequate surveillance for its condition.

The Sevillian, who according to The Athletic had lost 20 kilos of weight in his coma, added that he felt “very lucky, once again, thank you all and I hope to see you soon.”

”’Sergio has given him a lot of impetus and strength and as I always say, he is a champion,” his wife, Alba Silva, the person in charge of updating the health status of Rico, 29, declared this Saturday during the last five weeks. “He is evolving by leaps and bounds and they are super happy with him,” the influencer continued, referring to the hospital’s medical team.

“He is in what he has to be, which is to recover. Obviously we told him information from abroad, but right now it is not his main concern,” Silva said.
