The European Championships in Germany are just around the corner, with Scotland gearing up to face the host nation in the opening game. Excitement is building as fans eagerly await the start of the tournament.

Format:
A total of twenty-four teams, including Scotland, England, Germany, Italy, and France, have qualified for the group stages. They will be divided into six groups of four teams each, with each team playing three games before the knockout stages begin on June 29. The top two teams from each group will advance to the last-16, along with the four best third-placed teams. Teams that finish fourth in their group will be eliminated, as well as the two worst third-placed teams. The ranking of the third-placed teams will be determined by points, goal difference, and goals scored.

Kick-off times:
During the group stage, games will kick off at 2pm, 5pm, or 8pm UK time, with three matches scheduled every day from Saturday until June 22. For the final round of group games, all matches in each group will kick off simultaneously. Scotland’s final group game against Hungary will take place in Stuttgart at 8pm on Sunday, June 23.

Where to watch:
All matches will be broadcast live on television, with coverage split between STV and BBC. Scotland’s game against Germany will be shown exclusively on STV and STV Player, while their other two group games against Switzerland and Hungary will be on the BBC.
