The news was known just at the time when the presentation of the Endesa women’s basketball League was taking place. There, Víctor Francos, president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), referred to it: “Spanish basketball is going to be presided over by a woman and that is also important. Subsequently, the electoral board, chaired by Fernando Sequeira de Fuentes, officially confirmed that only the candidacy of Elisa Aguilar had been received, which was proclaimed after having attached the endorsements of at least fifteen percent of the General Assembly.
However, it specifies in its resolution that a period for claims for the candidacy is open that will end at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th of this month.
On Monday, October 2, a general assembly will take place in which the election will take place between 10:30 and 11:05 am. Finally, on October 5 at 1:00 p.m., the period to submit claims for the elections will end.
