On September 11, Catalonia prepares to commemorate an emblematic date: the Diada. This is one of the most important days for Catalan society, as its identity and rich history are celebrated.

This year, the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) has once again taken the initiative to organize a demonstration that will include the participation of various groups to demand the independence of Catalonia from Spain.

The peculiarity of this year is that the demonstration will be distributed in four axes full of slogans and demands. These axes will start from different points of the city and will converge at an emblematic point: Plaza España.

As the city prepares to host the thousands of citizens who will walk its streets, an unpredictable but crucial element comes into play: the weather. As September 11 approaches, Catalans keep a watchful eye on the sky, which has recently seen more intense rainfall, a factor that could influence the development of planned activities, mostly outdoors.

The weather forecast for the Diada and the week that follows presents significant changes. After a long period of anticyclonic blocking, the atmosphere is preparing to welcome warmer air masses from the Atlantic.

For the day of the Diada, a partially cloudy sky is expected, but temperatures will continue to be warm, typical of the beginning of Catalan autumn. There may be a few showers on Monday, but nothing significant. However, as the week progresses, temperatures will decrease and an increase in atmospheric instability is expected.

Therefore, the weather is expected to be good until Tuesday, which does present a high probability of showers and storms. For its part, on Wednesday the situation remains uncertain with the possibility of rain in the north.
