Easter will start with temperatures above normal for the time of year, between 5 and 10 degrees higher or even more in some points. However, as the days progress, there will be a sudden change, typical of spring. In large areas, on Tuesday they will be between 5 and 10 degrees below usual, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
For this Friday, a decrease in maximum temperatures is expected in the Cantabrian Sea, northern Galicia and the Canary Islands and a general increase in the rest, notable in areas of the southwest.
Very high values ??are expected, touching 30 degrees: Almería (28), Badajoz (29), Ciudad Real (28), Córdoba (30), Granada (30), Jaén (29), Madrid (26), Ourense (28 ), Salamanca (27) or Seville (30).
For Saturday, drops in temperatures will predominate in the country, more pronounced in the northern half of the peninsula, even notable in the central north. In the southern third the minimum temperatures will increase. Weak frosts are expected in the Pyrenees.
The thermometer will continue to fall on Sunday, although it is likely that temperatures will drop sharply on Monday and Tuesday, with frost in the mountain systems and moors of the northern half, according to the Aemet forecast.
In fact, the agency predicts that Tuesday will be the coldest day of the entire Holy Week in many places. With uncertainty, it is expected that temperatures will begin to recover from Holy Thursday.
In addition to being cold, Easter will be rainy in many places. It will start with atmospheric instability that will favor rain in parts of the northern peninsula, eastern Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community, as well as showers in other areas of the center and northern half.
Rainfall is expected to continue from Monday to Holy Wednesday, with a greater probability of rain in Galicia, the Cantabrian Communities and the west and center of the peninsula, the agency anticipates.
