The Aemet confirms the arrival of a DANA that will leave rain over the weekend in these areas

The final stretch of the week will be marked by drops in temperature, with frost on the northern plateau and in the moors of the interior of the peninsula, and by the arrival of a shallow DANA, which will leave instability in the southern half with possible stormy showers during Saturday and on Sunday, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

For this Thursday, the agency forecasts stable weather in most of the country with slightly cloudy or clear skies and some intervals of high clouds. Cloudy skies are only expected in the east of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, with the probability of showers that will tend to decrease. Weak rains are also not ruled out in the eastern Cantabrian Sea and the Pyrenees.

Nighttime temperatures will continue to drop in much of the country, while daytime temperatures will not vary too much, except in the extreme north of Catalonia and Andalusia, where they will drop, anticipates Aemet spokesperson Rubén del Campo.

Specifically, the minimum temperatures will be below 5 degrees in much of the interior of the northern half and the central-eastern area of ??the Peninsula. At the other extreme, the warmest cities will be Córdoba and Seville, where in the early afternoon they will reach around 28 degrees, a somewhat milder temperature than the previous day.

This Thursday the wind will continue to blow with intensity in the north of the peninsula and in the Balearic archipelago. Three communities will have warnings for strong gusts: Catalonia, Galicia and the Balearic Islands.

Looking ahead to Friday, a new drop in thermometers is expected, with frost on the northern plateau and we stop in the center. In fact, in the northern part of the peninsula, thermometers will show values ??between 5 and 10 degrees lower than usual. However, temperatures will rise “noticeably” during the day in the northern half, so these cities may reach a maximum of 20 in the early afternoon.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Aemet advances the shallow DANA arrival that will destabilize the atmosphere in the southern half and cause an increase in cloudiness in the area. It is not ruled out that it will leave some stormy showers in parts of Extremadura, Andalusia and Melilla.

Regarding thermometers, it indicates that temperatures will recover during Saturday and Sunday, with values ??above 25 degrees in many provinces.
