Dr. Diana Greene Foster is the principal researcher of the multidisciplinary team behind The Turnaway Study. We spoke to her. She and her co-researchers followed nearly a thousand women seeking abortion in 21 states for more than a decade. These data show the results of unwanted pregnancies. They also compare the financial, physical and mental consequences of an abortion to that of carrying an unplanned pregnancy to term.
