Countdown to the arrival of heat in Spain: next week it will reach 35 degrees

Spain will say goodbye to the week under the effect of the remnants of the cold storm Óscar, with rainfall occasionally accompanied by storms in large areas, mainly in the afternoon and indoors, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Next week will also begin with rainfall and storms in large areas of the Peninsula, but for a short time. As of next Wednesday, “within a margin of uncertainty, a stabilization trend is expected, starting with the west.”

According to the forecast, an increase in temperatures is expected, which will rise in a general way and it is likely that they will exceed 30 degrees on the southern Atlantic slope. In some points, the heat will enter fully, reaching 35 degrees.

The meteorologists from eltiempo.es add that we will have a ridge over Spain, “which translates into this increase in stability and rising temperatures.” The highest thermometers will be recorded on Wednesday, although they will not rise as much in the Cantabrian area, in the surroundings of the Pyrenees, the Central System and the Iberian.

According to this forecast, a new increase in thermometers is expected for Thursday. In general, they will continue to rise during the second half of the week, although uncertainty increases so many days ahead, they warn from eltiempo.es.

For its part, Aemet explains that, since Thursday, there is a low probability of showers accompanied by occasional storms in the Mediterranean and Pyrenean areas, especially in mountain areas. These rains will gradually move to the northern third of the peninsula towards the weekend.
