A meteorological alteration will bring clouds, precipitation and cold for the next few days

After a general rise in temperatures in recent days, a week of instability arrives that will bring back the cold, with sudden variations, especially in the northwest of the Peninsula, according to Aemet. Meteorologist Mario Picazo has warned through the eltiempo.es portal of the arrival of a meteorological disturbance with cloudiness, precipitation and alternating mild and colder environments.

Rubén del Campo, spokesman for Aemet, emphasizes that the typically spring time period opens, marked by the passage of fronts that will drop precipitation. The warm environment will remain until this Thursday, March 16 and from Friday and Saturday there will be “a marked drop in thermometers”

The meteorologist Mario Picazo has warned through the eltiempo.es portal that this instability is caused by the passage of “several Atlantic fronts”. Precipitation in the form of rain will be more likely in points of Galicia, in the Cantabrian communities and in the Pyrenees.

In the northern half of the peninsula and in the extreme north of the Canary Islands, precipitation is also expected, according to the expert. The rest of the peninsula will enjoy tranquility, with some cloudiness but with dominance of the sun.

Looking ahead to the weekend there could be another decline, as reported by Picazo on Twitter. “We’ll even see some snow on the mountains,” he added.

Between Thursday and Friday, the thermometers could rise again, reaching close to thirty degrees Celsius in some parts of the south. The last days of the week could see the arrival of a new storm that will bring instability to the northern third of the peninsula and a drop in temperatures.
