Dutch football has lost yet another of its great legends.
Rob Rensenbrink, who participated in two WORLD cup finals and won EM-bronze, has died at the age of 72 years, writes several media outlets, including De Telegraaf.
According to the newspaper, he suffered from a muscular disease and died Friday night in his own home in the Dutch city of Oostzaan.
Rensenbrink had to suffer the indignity of losing two WORLD cup finals in a row with the Netherlands. First, in 1974 to west Germany in the company of among others Johan Cruyff, but the venstrebenede winger will be remembered for his role at the WORLD cup in Argentina four years later.
