During a heatwave in the australian state of South Australia took a thirsty koala Thursday contact to a group of cyclists in order to get water.
the Cyclists, who were in the vicinity of the city of Adelaide, mocked koalaen middle of the road. When they stopped the train koalaen contact and looked to reach for their water bottles.
It tells Anna Heusler, one of the cyclists, to the australian media 7 News.
We stopped, of course, we would help koalaen to get away from the road, she says.
I stopped on my bike, and then came directly up to me – fairly quickly for a koala – and since I gave it water from our water bottles, it crept up on my bike.
She has also shared a video of the incident on the social media Instagram, which quickly went viral.

Australia is currently affected by high temperatures, drought and fierce fires, which have destroyed large parts of the koalaernes habitats.
By the Adelaide Hills in South Australia has volunteer firefighters on social media shared pictures of the koalas who have been rescued from the fires.
Among other things, a picture of the six koalas who had hidden themselves in a house, as well as pictures of two koalas that come out from the bush looking for help.
on Friday said Australia’s environment minister, Sussan Ley, that up to a third of all the koalas in the state of New South Wales may have lost their lives in the last months fires.
She estimates that up to 8400 koalas have perished in the central and northern part of the coast of the state.
This area is home to a significant part of Australia’s koalas. Between 15 000 and 28,000 koalas are estimated to live in the area.
Earlier in december, stated a study from the state government that thousands of koalas were killed in the fires.
at the same time, it said, that most likely will never find the bodies, when the fires have been so extensive.
